The Austrian Mint’s Silver Philharmonics are one troy ounce each of .999 fine silver and carry a design almost identical to that of the Gold Philharmonic coins. Silver Philharmonics come from the Austrian Mint in plastic tubes of 20 coins each, 500 coins in a heavy cardboard box.
Silver Philharmonics are less popular in the Unites States than are the US Mint’s Silver Eagles and the Canadian Silver Maples Leafs. Yet Silver Philharmonics are considered the most aesthetic of government-issued pure silver coins.
