The Year of the
Tiger gold coin is the third issue
in Australia's Lunar bullion gold coin
Series Two.
Each of these pure (99.99%)
gold bullion coins is individually
packaged at hard plastic capsules at
the Perth Mint, and delivered to you
in pristine condition.
Mintage of the 1-ounce
gold coins in this 12-year series
is limited to 30,000 pieces.
Legend has it that thousands of years
ago, on a Chinese New Year, Buddha
summoned all the animals of his kingdom,
but only 12 showed up.
To honor the 12, each animal present
was given a year of its own, in the
order that they arrived. People subsequently
born in those years are said to share
the characteristics of that year's
animal.
Each Year of the Tiger gold coin is
a beautiful example of what can be
done in .9999 fine gold bullion, as
struck to the precise standards of
the Perth Mint.
